Germany Pavilion for Youth Travel,Youth Travel Centre at the ITB Trade Fair
The special exhibition platform using the motto “Youth incoming Germany” will showcase itself for the 8th time at the Berlin ITB 2012. In the YiG, Germany's pavilion for youth travel will be a host of providers offering youth travel.
The international trade organisation of youth, student and educational travel, the WYSE travel confederation has been acting as the leading foreign partner organisation within YIG.
From those offering youth accomodation, holiday camps, school breaks and youth camping parks to those who are more focussed towards youth travel, language development travels, and those offering work experience (to foreign nationals coming to Germany) and organisations providing youth exchanges, school trips, leisure parks/ attractions, culture and development for young adults. The YIG-Lounge and the central counter in March 2011.
The YIG-Lounge can be used by exhibitors and trade visitors at the trade visitors days for discussions and meetings.
On weekends there are public actions in the YIG Lounge, such as show cooking or baking "German building" cookies.
The YIG is a separate pavilion Germany-Incoming platform in the Youth Travel Centre in Hall 4.1. An important element is the Germany-Central-counter. There are information about the marketing organization of the German federal states and provinces and about the German National Tourist Board. It is also the first contact to our exhibitors from German cities and regions.
Trained service personel give information about general, children and youth tourism offerings of the German federal states to the trade visitors and buyers.
All the visitors, especially teachers and managers responsible for school trips, will be invited to the teacher conference. The teacher conference program includes diverse panel discussions, workshops and presentations. There are also special events to meet the exhibitors.
